Some have commented that they don't like the stretches of continuous building and want more story - I'm the complete opposite. Not negating anyone who likes this "strategy", but we are all different. I understand that some people love this and think of it as "strategy", but I just find it tedious. For me, all stamina/sleep amounts to is more running around. I realise this probably isn't working as designed, but it has me understand a lot more why I'm not a big fan of the stamina/sleep dynamic and would prefer the option of turning it off. It's the stamina/sleep that makes it unbearably tedious. I wouldn't have an issue with this and I would be happy enough to dig out the entire mine just to find the entry point to the next level, if I was able to turn off the stamina/sleep stuff. I'm pretty limited as far as progressing in Sandrock because not being able to make bronze bars myself pretty much kills the game. It's just a really awful groundhog day experience. Yeah, I'm exaggerating with the "three times", but that is how it feels. So my latest experience of Sandrock early release is basically "run to mine, hit rocks with a hammer three times, go to sleep, repeat". I didn't have this issue in multiplayer or during the beta, so it's not that I don't understand how the mining works or the green "next door" symbols. I've reset the levels several times and still can't find the entry to the next mine level to mine the materials to make bronze bars. Those green indicators that point to the "next door" aren't. Whatever it is that becomes available at around level 3 or 4 in the mines. I haven't managed to dig down through the mines deep enough to get the materials to make bronze bars. What's happening for me currently in Sandrock. I'm caught in a Sandrock groundhog day loop and it is the opposite of fun. The new workshop cosmetics look fantastic and really call to me to give Sandrock another go. I've had a few moments where it's almost been fun, but overall, blah. Sandrock early release, for me, has just been pure drudgery. I loved Portia, and if not for Portia, Sandrock would be in my "don't bother" library of games. I loved multiplayer, but can't say anymore than that due to NDA. Didn't like the sandfishing, but the rest was good. I got the project update email about the upcoming major update and the workshop customization looks fantastic, and almost makes me want to give Sandrock another go.
